
For more than 24 years, Dr. Sami Sultan has been involved in development and delivery of mission-critical transformation initiatives and programs. He spent his career working for leading organizations such as Andersen Consulting (Accenture); IBM, EDS, Singtel, and Vodafone. Nevertheless, consulting and supporting organizations in the areas of Organizational Development and Culture remain his main passion. Dr. Sami's professional experience spans working in US, Latin America, Asia, and Middle-East, providing him with a deep understanding of cultural differences and its impact on design and delivery of transformation programs.
Over the course of his tenure in consulting, Dr. Sami has facilitated transformation initiatives to high-profile international clients including AT&T, Governor's Commission (New Jersey, USA), Blue Cross Blue Shield New York; other clients included Savola, Banawi, Saudi Publishing Co., Alcatel, Telecom Egypt, EMC, in addition to several oil & gas clients.
Dr. Sami introduced and led the first Organizational Culture Transformation program in Egypt for a leading mobile company, Vodafone. Over the course of 3 years, the program involved transforming the corporate culture and aligning HR strategy with overall program objectives. HR processes such as Recruitment, Induction, Performance Management, and Retention were revamped to meet new company challenges and ensure a strong personnel backbone for the company on the long-run.
Over the last 3 years, Dr. Sami has been working with several organizations in the Oil & Gas sector in Egypt in the areas of Learning Organizations & Change Management. The extent of engagement covers facilitation of workshops to design and delivery of transformation initiatives. The clients include: Ministry of Petroleum , E-Chem, Enppi, Apache , ADES, and ECDC.
As recent as 2009-10, Dr. Sami has facilitated the development of Strategy & HR Balanced Scorecard for a major Technology company. The facilitation sessions involved VP-level executives from US, Canada, , Ireland, UK, and Egypt. The objectives were to chart the HR roadmap for the new Operational Center; infuse best practices and ensure effectiveness of hiring, development, and retention of qualified personnel; put integration of existing Global (US, Ireland, India) HR processes address the local growth plans in place.
In 2010, Dr. Sami's Culture Excellence methodology was recognized and adopted by the English Premiere League's managers and coaches among other European and international soccer leagues. He was recognized by the Egyptian National coach (Hassan Shehata) and several media outlets for his contribution.
Dr. Sami holds a Bachelor's degree & MBA from Nichols College (MA, USA), and a Ph.D in Organization & Management from Capella University (MN, USA). Furthermore, his core competencies include facilitation, executive coaching, and multi-cultural integration.
